Don’t Talk, Just Do: Moving Forward When You Feel Stuck

Most of us have goals like a career move we want to make, skill we want to build, conversation we need to have, or becoming a version of ourselves we know we’re capable of becoming. Sometimes the biggest thing standing between us and that goal isn’t a lack of talent or ambition.

It’s overthinking/talking about it.

The endless questions:

  • What if I fail?
  • What if I’m not ready?
  • What if there’s a better time?

Overthinking can feel productive because we’re busy analyzing, planning, and preparing. Sometimes this is just fear wearing a more professional outfit.

Progress begins with one small action.

  • Take the class.
  • Update the resume.
  • Ask the question.
  • Try the thing.

The person you’re becoming is built one small decision at a time.

  1. […] There will be days when you feel stuck. We’ve all been there. Feeling stuck doesn’t always mean you are though. Sometimes the next step is simply taking one small action instead of waiting until you feel ready.https://hg-people.com/2026/06/12/dont-talk-just-do-moving-forward-when-you-feel-stuck/ […]
